I have been a member of EATAW since 2001. I have presented at two EATAW conferences (Groningen 2001 and Budapest 2003) and will be presenting at this year’s conference in Bochum. I was a member of the organising committee of the 2nd EATAW Conference in Budapest in 2003.

I have been teaching academic writing since 1999 (at Central European University and Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest). My doctoral dissertation (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, 2006) was about citation practices in student academic writing. I have published in English (System, The Writing Center Journal, English for Specific Purposes, Novelty, Porta Linguarum) and Serbian journals on issues such as the use of sources and plagiarism, contrastive rhetoric, writer identity and interdisciplinarity, and student writers’ perceptions of academic writing.

As a board member of EATAW, my main aims would be to contribute to the strengthening of the research profile of EATAW and to promote it in the countries of South Eastern Europe.
