Marion Hartung

Graduated from the University of Hamburg as well as from the University of Cincinnati, OHIO, USA (as an exchange student), participant of the (pre-) EATAW conferences in 1997: Erfurt 1999: Hattingen (Bochum) 2000: Hamburg (co-organizer along with Inge Rohwedder) 2001: Groningen (giving a workshop as well as a paper). Unfortunately I was unable to attend the EATAW conferences in Budapest and Athens but I participated in regional meetings/workshops (München, Bielefeld, Freiburg, Hamburg, Aachen).

Experience as a teacher of academic and professional (technical) writing in various institutional settings, including the Helmut-Schmidt-Universität / Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg (my employer in the field of e-learning ever since the year 2000). Research interests in rhetorics, history of writing pedagogy, 'comparative' writing pedagogy, processes of institutionalisation, peer tutoring, empirical research on student's and teacher's interests/needs in writing pedagogy.

The aims of EATAW as an organisation match my own professional aims (and activities!) to a great extent. I am confident I can help realizing them by joining the EATAW Board
